Karen O & The Kids – All Is Love (Where The Wild Things Are)
A music video I made cut from the trailers released for the Spike Jonze movie “Where The Wild Things Are” based on the childrens book from Maurice Sendak. Music by Karen O & The Kids.

This song and this movie mean so much to me. They bring so much memories
Lemonycrab, you are very smart. I like you, I mean your commentaries, and you lol.
Just and simply one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. really is beautifill if you allow it to be…
did anyone say it was a childrens movie? it wasn’t necessarily for kids.
There have been many contenders this year for the worst movie but until I saw this movie for myself I didn’t actually think this could be so bad…well I was wrong. The movie isn’t just bad, it’s in bad taste being a children’s movie.
Oh and please don’t mind my spelling mistake. I typed ‘unknowingly’ with an n short.
So as you can see, the Wild Things are all there (unkowingly) to teach Max a lesson. He tries to teach them a lesson, but he’s really learning for himself the moral of the story, which is that a child (as the Wild Things are all in fact children at heart) needs a mother to be happy.
That’s the point of the movie. Mothers are sadness shields.
It is when Max realizes this that he decides it’s time for him to head home.
Alexander represents a child’s wish that people would listen to him. He’s the attention-seeker. He feels ignored.
The Bull is the child who worries about his family fighting and wants to keep everybody happy, he does so by not rocking the boat.
Douglas is the child’s consience, his wisdom and sense of right and wrong.
KW is most like Max as she is the child seeking escape. She sees the solution to her sadness as running away from it, which is exactly what Max did.
You’re on the right track but you didn’t completely catch the meaning.
The monsters are all sad because they are like imaginary manifestations of Max’s emotions, which are reflections of the many sad emotions a child feels.
Carol is a child’s frustration, not knowing what to do with his/her anger.
Judith and Ira represent a child’s natural negativism and positivism. Their love is the medium of this, as is where a child’s love is found.
Hello friends, I’ve got a question for you:
why do you think the furry characters have sad faces? And why almost all soundtracks in this film are again sad?
I for one think that the movie isn’t just a film for kids but a picture of our modern life, I mean there is the touch of our modern life everywhere (the child loneliness because of his mother’s overwhelming modern job, and his sister’s way of hanging only with her friends, the lack of a father, and so on .
What do YOU think?
Lovely song and movie. It really takes you into a magical world never been seen before. I love all the characters. I’m hoping to find the book somewhere, i love to read it.
L.O.V.E
i actually like this song.
Cute song! ♥
I cried too lol!
Wonderful!
Though I wish some of the clips didn’t repeat themselves
